XML sitemap generator

The spec, briefly

  • Maximum 50,000 URLs and 50MB uncompressed per file. Bigger sites split into a sitemap index.
  • Every URL must be absolute, canonical and return 200. Redirects and noindexed pages do not belong in a sitemap.
  • lastmod is the only metadata Google actually uses, and only while it stays honest.

Host the file anywhere on the same domain, then point at it from robots.txt or submit it in Search Console.
